The Fish Tanks and Dock are Near Building 13763 E
Go Down Ramp Near this address to the Water. 

A Fish Liberation will be held on the first Sunday, at the month at 9:30am. The carpool will be leaving from the center at 8:30 am - 8:45 am.  Those who wish to meet at the Marina Del Rey Sportsfishing at the Fisherman's Village should arrive between 9:30am- 9:45 am.  

It is recommended you call the center and exchange cell phone numbers with the center carpool in case we can't find each other. The afternoon class will be held at the center at the normal time. Center Phone: (626) 698-4756.

To help us generate the Bodhisattva's intention, many fish will be released to extend their lives, thus creating positive merit and increasing our habit of concern for others.  We dedicate the postiive merit generated for the benefit of all sentient being to reach the Enlightened  state of mind.  

Partcipants can follow with the prayer book, as the fish are blessed by Geshe Sherap and Venerable Thutop with prayers and auspicious mantras.

Bring your family and friends and come and help release the fish.  If you have never participated in a fish liberation before, please come and enjoy in the collection of merit of freeing the fish. 

If you can't come and want to participate by making a donation for the fish liberation, you drop it by or mail it to the center.  Donations are necessary for the purchase of the fish to release.

Bring your parking ticket with you to the dock, so they can stamp your ticket.

CHAPTER 2 THE INTERWOVEN BEGINS MARCH 18, 2012

 

Land of Enlightened Wisdom is a Buddhist dharma center in southern California, in Pomona, a city in the eastern part of Los Angeles county.  The resident teacher is Geshe Tenzin Sherap will be starting the second chapter of the Preciuos Garland on March 18, 2012.  The class will be held weekly on Sunday between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.

 Arya Nagarjuna has authored several monumental Buddhist treatises. The Precious Garland or Ratnavali discusses the complete pathways to enlightenment. It provides antidotes to deal with our de...lusions and cultivate compassion and wisdom to be able to realize our fullest potential to be Buddha or Enlightened Being. This course will explain this poetic yet profound treatise of Arya Nagarjuna to enhance our spirituality* Class subjects at this level will change frequently and are listed in the  Intermediate Level Course Catalog

Land of Enlightened Wisdom is a dharma center is Los Angeles county, in the city of Pomona, California.
Geshe Tenzin Sherap, the spiritual teacher and head teacher will begin a new class at the beginning level on Arya Nagarjuana's Letter to a Friend on this Saturday March 17, 2012.  This four week class will continue until April 7, 2012. 

Arya Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend

Arya Nagarjuna, one of the greatest realized expert scholars of Mahayana Buddhism, wrote a poetic letter to a friend in response to a South Indian king’s request. This letter presents the whole of Mahayana Path while emphasizing various points that the king could apply to his administration of his kingdom. This text may be particularly relevant to American students, who like the king, are busy with their work and everyday life.. This four week class will end on April 07, 2012.  If you are unable to come to the Pomona center, this class will be aired on UStream. Live'

Participants can follow along with a sadhana or prayer book, as the animals are blessed by Geshe Sherap with prayers and auspicious mantras.  This practice is  beneficial  to dedicate for loved ones who have passed or are ill and when heavy obstacles are present. All are welcome to come and help. If you have never participated in one before, please come and enjoy in the collection of merit of freeing the fish.
